A tropical and subtropical perennial plant that forms dense clumps and produces showy flame-red flowers on erect stems. Hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, moths, and bats are attracted to the plant's flower. The leaves are large, green to violet-green in color, and paddle-shaped. The plant may grow to 8 feet tall and 3 feet wide. It is a member of the Cannaceae family.
This species has been cultivated for over 4000 years as a food crop in Central and South America. The rhizomes are edible and may be eaten raw. It is preferable to serve them cooked. The rhizomes are processed to produce a starch known as achira, and may be used to produce vermicelli, white wine, and ethanol. The leaves have been used to wrap tamales. The leaves also served as a food source for livestock. The seeds are very hard, dark brown to black in color, and can be used to make jewelry or musical instruments such as a rattle.
Arrowroot prefers sunlight, moist, well-drained soils with a preferably acidic pH. The plant may grow in soil types such as sand, clay, loam, and chalk. The rhizomes need to be spaced about 3 feet apart and 4- 6 inches deep after the last frost in the spring. The rhizomes will rot in poorly drained soils. Remove the spent flowers to encourage continuous flowering from August to October. After the first frost in the fall, the plants should be cut to the ground. The plant is winter hardy in USDA Zones 8 through 11. In areas where the plant is not winter hardy, the rhizomes should be lifted from the ground for winter storage. The rhizomes should be stored in peat or vermiculite in a cool dry area. It is best to mist the rhizomes with water over the winter to prevent shriveling.

Wouldn’t recommend these sandals.
I was really excited to try the Steve Madden Women's Wafer Heeled Sandals, but unfortunately, I’m disappointed with the quality. The sandals look great in photos, but when I received them, I noticed that the materials felt cheap and not as durable as I expected from a brand like Steve Madden. The straps are stiff, and they rubbed against my skin, causing discomfort after only a short amount of time.
The fit also wasn’t great — they felt a bit tight, especially around the toes, which made them hard to wear for longer periods. While the heel height is cute, the overall construction doesn’t seem to provide enough support, which made walking in them less comfortable than I anticipated.
For the price, I expected better quality and comfort. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend these sandals.

Perfect black patent leather heel

Definitely go up an entire size in these. I used to work at Steve Madden and can tell you with 100% confidence if you're ever buying one of their heels with a pointier toe, you need to go up an entire size or your foot is going to suffer. These are a perfect "high" stiletto, they're definitely not low and I wouldn't say they're a breeze to walk in unless you're used to heels. I will vouch for how comfortable they are though given the height and the shape - they're as comfortable as a heel like this could be for sure! If you have skinnier ankles, definitely recommend punching an extra hole in the strap.

toe strap is tewww tight

I love the look of these heels, they’re super classy, elegant, simple, and most importantly I chose these because of the small platform at the base of the heel for a less painful experience. The onlyyyyyy issue I have is that the toe strap is so close to the front and tight (as you can see)!! I got the correct size but wish I didn’t have to stretch them out (which is almost impossible because that leather is stiff). The shoe is not very bendable but I personally like it because the shoe is sturdy.

Poor Quality for the Cost !!! Dissatisfied
Disappointed Durability. I love these heels they are very comfortable looks good with just about any color outfit . However, my heart ripped in pieces after 3 months with limited wear they began to lift and fall apart . I’m very dissatisfied with the cost & poor quality slippers I received. I wish I could actually returned it but couldn’t due to the 30 days return policy.
