Vintage Tissot Dress Vintage Watch from 1978 with a compact women’s manual wind format, confirmed Cal. 2135, and a silver-toned brushed dial inside a gold plated tonneau-shaped case. Offered for sale on a new high quality brown leather strap, it has a distinctive late-1970s profile that feels refined, compact, and easy to wear.

A late-1970s Tissot shaped around compact wrist presence

Small dimensions with a balanced outline

With a 24 mm case diameter and a 27 mm lug-to-lug measurement, this Tissot sits firmly in the territory of classic women’s vintage dress watches. The proportions are compact, but the case shape gives it more character than a simple round design would. The softly tonneau-shaped outline broadens through the middle and narrows slightly toward the strap, which helps the watch read clearly on the wrist without feeling oversized or heavy.

The case form gives the watch its period identity

What defines the watch visually is its shaped case architecture. Rather than relying on ornament, it uses controlled lines and a slightly sculpted silhouette to create interest. The result is recognizably of its era, yet still restrained enough for everyday wear. Among Tissot women’s dress watches from the 1970s, this kind of compact gold plated form has lasting appeal because it combines vintage personality with practical proportions.

Silver dial details and a clean marker layout

Brushed dial surface with open spacing

The dial appears silver in tone with a fine brushed finish that catches light softly across the surface. That texture works well inside the curved case opening, giving the watch visual depth without making it look busy. Tissot kept the dial notably clear, using minimal printed text and generous empty space. The absence of date display or extra complications reinforces the dress-watch focus and keeps attention on shape, proportion, and surface.

Applied batons and slim dark hands

Applied baton hour markers sit evenly around the dial and provide enough structure to keep the display crisp. The hands appear dark against the lighter dial, making time reading straightforward while introducing a subtle contrast that suits the gold plated case. Together, the markers and hands create a composed layout that feels disciplined rather than decorative. It is a simple arrangement, but one that gives the watch a strong sense of period-correct styling.

Case finish, crown, and strap pairing

The gold plated case presents with a brushed look across much of its exterior, helping the watch maintain a calm and measured character. This finish is particularly effective on a small case because it keeps reflections controlled and lets the form itself do the work. The crown is proportionate to the case and sits neatly at the side without interrupting the overall profile. According to the supplied notes, the watch is fitted with a new high quality brown leather strap, and that choice suits it well. The warm brown tone complements the gold plated case while adding a slightly more casual edge than black leather would. In practice, that pairing makes the watch versatile enough for regular use while preserving the character expected from a compact vintage dress piece.

Cal. 2135 and ownership confidence

Inside is the confirmed Tissot Cal. 2135, a manual winding movement that matches the straightforward nature of the watch. That manual wind format is part of the appeal, especially for buyers who enjoy a more direct connection with a vintage mechanical watch. According to the supplied product data, this example is fully serviced, fully operational, includes original watch components, and comes with a 12-month warranty. Those points add meaningful reassurance, particularly in a smaller vintage format where buyers often want both visual charm and the confidence that the watch is ready for practical ownership.

Why this 1978 Tissot still works today

Some women’s vintage watches stand out through size, while others rely on jewelry-like decoration. This Tissot takes a different route. Its appeal comes from controlled proportions, a shaped case, a clean silver dial, and a manually wound caliber that keeps the watch rooted in traditional vintage Swiss watchmaking. That makes it attractive to buyers who want a historic wristwatch with clarity rather than excess. For anyone browsing women’s vintage dress watches with 1970s tonneau styling, this piece offers a convincing mix of elegant restraint, mechanical substance, and easy wearability.

The perfect teething toy for a puppy of any size - apparently indestructible!
Size: 9 in, Color: Large Bone, Size: 9 in, Color: Large Bone
I ordered this product for an overly excitable, destructive corgi chihuahua mix puppy, who was teething. He was a foster and managed to destroy, almost immediately, every toy I had on-hand for him, and toys I picked up at the local pet store. I was very concerned he'd swallow parts of toys, which can lead to fatal intestinal blockages, not to mention extremely high vet bills which I couldn't cover as a simple foster mom. When it arrived, I crossed my fingers that the "Seam Protection - doubled-stitched seams with heavy duty thread" would actually add "extra durability." And I was NOT disappointed! The bone shape of the toy would probably fit comfortably in the mouth of any dog or puppy, as you can see from photo #4. What's coolest about the shape of this toy is the pup can sink all of his or her teeth into it, providing comfort for the entire mouth and not just a few teeth or only one section of its mouth at a time. I was much more experienced as a kitten foster mom, and had had similar difficulties finding teething toys for kittens. This toy is thin and light weight enough that I imagine it could provide relief for little kitten mouths, also, but I didn't get to find out, as my little foster pup chose this as his #1 favorite toy and brought it with him to his forever home. I wanted to know how long it would take before he'd destroy it, though (picture 5 he'd had this Dura-Fused bone toy for a few hours short of one week, and the last photo - you'll see he'd not even undone a small portion of the seam!) Overall I would highly recommend this product for teething babies of almost any species. As far as I could tell it is indestructible. Almost seven days of constant gnawing and he'd not even taken one stitch out, created any tear or rip, let alone, gotten close to being able to swallow the squeaker (always a fear!). I imagine months later, he's still been unsuccessful at ripping/tearing this toy at all. I'd gladly buy again should I foster any dog or puppy - the company lives up to its moniker, Ethical Products, because they've produced a no-frills and apparently indestructible squeak toy which I'd have no fears of leaving with a teething puppy unsupervised. Highly recommended!

My dog’s new favorite
Size: 8 in, Color: Squirrel
didn’t expect much for the price but my dog actually loves this thing. It’s tough enough to hold up to regular chewing and the leather gives it a nice texture that’s different from the usual plush toys. He carries it around like it’s his prize. It’s not indestructible and if your dog is a heavy shredder it probably won’t last forever but for moderate chewers it holds up way better than a lot of toys I’ve tried. Definitely worth grabbing again.

Not for gnawers
Size: 11.5 in, Color: Bear
I was hoping this would work for my teenage ACD and save my leather goods from being chewed on. He gnawed on it quietly I was thrilled. But I had to take it from him within a few minutes. Gnawing apparently equals chewing pieces off. Not made for chewers or gnawers. It seemed to be well made, was soft, was actually a fairly good size and didn’t get gross when it got spitty. Just didn’t work out for Captain chaos destructor of all.
