This romantic vintage red velvet dress was custom-made in the late 1930s (possibly early 1940s), and is entirely one-of-a-kind. The maxi-length crushed red velvet is so rich. It features a gathered empire waist, with long tailored sleeves that come to a point at the cuff. It was reworked and modernized around the 1970s, with a zipper added in the back, making it easier to wear. Because of the empire waist, this can also be an incredible vintage maternity dress. Closes in the back with a zipper.

The Antique Victorian Heart Locket pictured is also available. 

Measurements: This will best fit a size X-Small, Small and possibly Medium; please refer to below measurements. It is smaller through the shoulders and chest, with more flexibility through the waist and hips.

Empire waist/underbust: about 29", gathering offers some forgiveness there
Hips are open up to 45"
Length: 53"


Good vintage condition overall; there were some repairs made to the fabric at the bottom skirt towards hem. They have torn up Fenrir hammers, the black kongs of all sizes, the monster k9 stick, nylabones, and they don’t like the goughnut at all (it stinks like a bad tire). They are very happy playing with it and I’d say this one was worth every dollar. Update Months Later: We’ve gone through 2/3 now. I got two initially, and one has lasted long term. They still haven’t completely destroyed it. They did destroy a second one quickly so I suspect a flaw in it. They sent me a new one and they took a while, but they did destroy the third to the point we had to throw it away. Despite that, one still remains and our dogs still love it. It’s still the best for the money compared to others. We have two Bully XL’s that are each close to 100 pounds.
