It has the feel of a Thea Porter but even if it is just a piece made for Bloomingdales, it is one of those wonderful things you will only ever find in vintage. It is a wonderfully easy to wear dress and very flattering once on. There is an inner bias cut pale purple silk sheath dress that is then covered in a layer of that blue silk chiffon down the front and back. A straight

• A wonderful caftan dress that only has its Bloomingdales label in place. It has the feel of a Thea Porter but even if it is just a piece made for Bloomingdales, it is one of those wonderful things you will only ever find in vintage.
• It is a wonderfully easy-to-wear dress and very flattering once on. There is an inner bias cut pale purple silk sheath dress that is then covered in a layer of that blue silk chiffon down the front and back. A straight chin panel runs down each outer side of the front and back. This is what expands out to form the sleeves. Panels of the blue chiffon also run over the top of the shoulder and extend down to meet the cuffs. This top layer is what gives the dress it's caftan feel. 
• The front and back neckline are set in a squared off neckline for a little bit of skin to show and balance out the coverage that the dress has. 
• A band of metallic gold brocade is set within the base of the neckline on both the front and back. More of the same circles each cuff.
  
• Gold sequins are set over the parts of the chiffon that sweep over the top of the sleeves. More are applied at the bottom front and back hem. The upper portion of each strike panel on the front and back also has sequence detailing it stripes.
  
• I love how down each side the striped silk chiffon panels are attached with little star shaped silver sequins to hold the two sides together and in place.
• This is a dress that you slip on and feel completely comfortable when wearing it and yet it has as much drama and impact as you could ask for. 
  
• It closes with a side set zipper on the inner part of the dress
• It would be possible to alter the inner dress to add more room if needed since the outer dress is so open and loose.
• I see some light wear on the bouquet parts in here and there in the chiffon. The inner purple silk has some small spots and discolouration here and there, but none of that show once on. Otherwise great condition.
